Regardless of the season that you're in, and whether your babies are big, small or furry, this time in your life deserves to be captured by something other than your iPhone. Family sessions were born from past wedding couples asking us to document their growing families and now I just can't get enough!
I love creating photos to remind families that in spite of the fact that the car of their floor is covered in cereal, their laundry room looks like an episode of hoarders and mom and dad are in a permanent state of exhaustion, their love and their story are beautiful.
So let's plan a day, pick a location that is meaningful to you, and create a slew of images that will fill up the frames on your walls for years to come.
Everything you need to know about family portrait sessions
I'm a big believer that images aren’t meant to solely exist in a digital space. One day, most likely, Instagram will be gone, your phone will be replaced and images that you can physically hold in your hand will be the best way to remember those precious moments we captured.
One of my favorite things is going to the homes of families I've been photographing for years, and seeing my past photos covering their walls, and filling albums on their coffee tables.
Technology changes. But prints? Those last. Within your gallery you will have the option to order prints, bringing your images to life. And if you're interested in an album I would be thrilled to make that happen for you.

Your first step is filling out an Inquiry Form. On this form you'll share your photography needs, what you're looking for, and the timeframe in which you'd like it done. I will respond to you within 24 hours.
SESSION planning

Once you've booked your date, we’ll work together to choose the perfect location, plan outfits, and potentially any activities needed to achieve your desired photography results.
We'll also schedule an Artwork Selection date, for selecting your images you'd like to print.
THE SESSION

Family sessions typically last about an hour, and newborn sessions typically last around two hours. I usually recommend we aim for the first 2 hours after sunrise, or the final 2 hours before sunset for the best lighting.

Within 3 weeks of your session you will receive your full gallery of beautiful images, as well as access to the Gallery Store where you can order prints for your walls.

QUESTIONS
Do you offer studio sessions?
Yes! I have access to a beautiful natural light studio in Jamestown, NY that we can absolutely photograph your session in.
How far in advance should we inquire?
July-September are easily my busiest month of the year for family sessions. If you are interested in a session during that timeframe, I would recommend you reach out in May or June.
Do you offer fall or Christmas mini sessions?
Yes! I offer mini sessions, including Fall and Christmas Minis, periodically throughout the year. If you want to be the first to know when my Minis become available I recommend you join my Email List.
Do you do newborn photos?
Newborn photos are some of my favorite sessions to photograph! I have a few different offers for expecting families, which you can find on my Contact Page.
