Hiking Sharp Top Mountain at Blue Ridge Parkway, VA
Spring Vaca 2019, Phase 01
After a hectic tax season, Jackson and I were very ready for a quick break away before our busy wedding season hit. We decided to kill several birds with one stone, and visiting my sister and her boyfriend in Virginia was the first on our list!
Jackson and I love visiting Liberty University. The Blue Ridge Mountain region is stunning to say the least, the University itself is full of life, and of course, two of our favorite people were there. On our last day at Lynchburg it was suggested we go for a hike of Sharp Top Mountain in the Blue Ridge Parkway, and let me tell you, it was a hike.
I made it to the top of the mountain, but don’t be fooled, I struggled.
I found out that although my legs might be strong, my lungs need some work.
I was definitely the most frequent to ask for breaks.
And in general I hate cardio (and cardio hates me) so there might have been a *little complaining along the way.
I made it! And it felt good.
Anyways, we had a wonderful time in Lynchburg with family/friends! It was a great start to our vacation and a much needed refresher after a very busy season (and before the new one begins)!
